Alcohol use, and the more recently constructed alcohol addiction has plagued the nation but yet again. Sure, times are tough, so what else can people find comfort in. Alcoholism and people’s dependency on alcohol may or may not be controlled by the actual user.  Sometimes victims find it beyond themselves to control their seemingly controllable alcohol addiction. 

Studies have show that alcoholism is in fact hereditary. So if you are born with a gene that makes you more inclined to be involved with alcohol addiction. Alcoholism is the abuse of a substance beyond the control of a person and their wants.  It is to the point where a person cannot physically make the decision to have a drink, but rather he or she needs a drink.  Like with any substance abuser, alcohol addiction is not an easy disease to overcome, but rather must be worked towards.  You must want to break your alcohol addiction with the help of others.  If you are successful in beating your own alcohol addiction, you may be more inclined to break the heredity of alcoholism within your family.  Alcoholism is a disease that continues to sweep the nation, do not let the tough times get to you too. The sooner you can diagnose alcoholism, the sooner you can beat it.
